So, it's been awhile since I last wrote a blog. I think my last one must have been when I was around 17-18, reasonably new to the Internet and desperate to have my voice heard on my own space. Now over 10 years on, I'm having a go again. This time there is more of a reason.
Like many women my age, the thought of turning thirty has been something that has been approaching for sometime, it's just I forgot how close it had become. At the start of the year, I became less than 10 months closer to the end of my 20s and I have definitely started to freak out. At the start of my 20s I was at university, was happy doing casual work, most of my mates were single and we all loved to just go out. Years on, a large proportion of my mates are married or on the way to the alter, permanent work seems like the best way forward for stability (but not for enjoyment) and people go out less. What is THAT about! I still try to do lots of fun things and fight against the change of age, but at some point, even a little bit of me has to grow up. It's not fair, I still feel like a 23 year old...at least : )
Anyway, this blog is so I can air my views and ever changing thoughts of just about anything on the lead up to my thirtieth birthday on the 26th October 2012 - yes, I'm still happy to be loud and proud about it : )
